Wider Achievement

Well done to the S1 Girls Football team who competed in the East Renfrewshire Girls Cup at the Cowan park yesterday. The team was as follows:

-Lauren Gray
-Rachel Pennie
-Shannon Peacock
-Lynsey McGinty
-Nicola Murphy
-Hannah Cathcart
-Amy Toal

The girls beat Eastwood 3-1, with all three goals coming from Shannon Peacock. They then went onto draw 1-1 with Woodfarm HS with Hannah Cathcart scoring an excellent goal for Barrhead and finished with a 1-1 draw against Williamwood where Shannon Peacock scored a penalty. The team accumulated 5 points which left them second overall in the tournament only two points behind Williamwood - Well done girls it was a great team effort!!

A special thanks also goes to David Stein, Michael Gribben, Ryan Anderson & Gavin Brown for all there help at the tournament, it was very much appreciated.
