Skills for Life
The aim of Enterprise in Education is to develop the skills of our young people as they prepare to enter the world of work. With a rapidly changing work environment due to technological advances and developments within the global economy, never before has education been so important.
It is the aim of Barrhead High School that our young people should have the best possible experience of Enterprise in Education, helping them to develop self-confidence, self-reliance and the ambition to achieve their goals and succeed, in work and in life. It also allows them to contribute to a smart, successful Scotland, whether as an employee, employer or entrepreneur.
Enterprise in Education in Barrhead High School is delivered through a variety of means, including teaching approaches, year-group challenges, work placements, career education, entrepreneurial experiences, mentoring, vocational learning, entrepreneurial case studies and links with industry.
